Surrounded (Fight My Battles)

In the Summer of 2020, the Angeles Worship Initiative teamed up with arranger Michael Lee to create a virtual ensemble recording.  The purpose of the project was two-fold.  First, to demonstrate the potential for dynamic, intergenerational music in light of an ongoing pandemic.  Second, to provide a musical and theological reflection on what it means to fight our battles through surrender in Christ.  Featuring members of the Angeles Worship Initiative and Azusa Pacific communities, the arrangement was premiered at the Angeles Worship Summit on February 6, 2021.    Featured Soloist: Astyn Turrentine.
